TWR Ultima GTR

This is the first Ultima ‘GTR’ (T81GJF) as seen on www.ultimasports.co.uk and on the GTR sales brochure.  The car was factory built by Ultima Sports Ltd in 1999, used as a prototype for the new GTR model range, tested at MIRA and featured as the factory GTR demonstrator.

The car also featured in EVO magazine Le Mans trip (March 2000) and was tested by Tiff Needell on BBC’s Top Gear click GTR TV!

I've only very recently purchased this car (early Apr'07) and drove it home circa 300 miles directly after buying it (probably the longest single journey it’s ever had other than the Le Mans trip with only 7,600mls on the clock).  Even though I took it easy (honest), it is fantastic to drive!  I’m still finding my way around it with a few minor jobs to do.  Would love to have built one, but business and family commitments prevented that, so went for one already built, with some very interesting history.

Currently running a 6.7ltr full race/dry sump spec SB Chevy, de-tuned via slightly milder cam to just 487bhp (on dyno) for reliability and drivability now with a smooth/wide power band.

Plan is to run the car in Sprints (if allowed) and obviously a few track days whilst enjoying the odd run out on the road in the meantime!
