Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit
Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit is located 1.5 miles North East of Chichester West
Sussex. Our events are run on a
non-profit/cost recovery basis. We offer
you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in driving at speed in a
controlled environment. We are available
to assist you as required, from advice to on track demonstration and tuition,
and at no extra cost. We hope you will
enjoy your day out with us and look forward to meeting you.
Vehicles using Goodwood Motor Circuit MUST
conform to the Noise Regulations. Owners
and/or drivers, whose vehicles do not meet the criteria listed below will be asked to withdraw the offending vehicle(s)
from the Circuit without refund. If at
any time during the Event, the cumulative drive by noise testing appears likely
to exceed limits, Circuit usage may be suspended at the discretion of Goodwood.
All
vehicles must not exceed the following noise levels:
No more than 5 vehicles may operate on the
Circuit at any one time.
Static Noise Test: Cars
maximum 105 dBs at 3/4 maximum rpm.
Measured at 0.5 metres from the end of the
exhaust pipe with the microphone of the noise meter at an angle of 45 degrees
with the exhaust axis, with the engine at 3/4 maximum rpm.
Static Noise Test: Motor
Cycles maximum 105 dBs at 3/4 maximum rpm at
0.5 metres.
Drive-by test: For
all vehicles maximum 101 dBs at 10 metres from
trackside.
No more than 10 vehicles may operate on the
Circuit at any one time.
Static Noise Test: Cars
maximum 98 dBs at 3/4 maximum rpm (NO Motor
Cycles).
Measured at 0.5 metres from the end of the
exhaust pipe with the microphone of the noise meter at an angle of 45 degrees
with the exhaust axis, with the engine at 3/4 maximum rpm.
Drive-by test: For
all vehicles maximum 96 dBs at 10 metres from
trackside.
All vehicles using the Circuit will be tested before
the morning and the afternoon sessions and at any other time should the noise scrutineer, or the driver, suspect a
deterioration in the silencing equipment. Refunds cannot be offered should your vehicle
fail the noise test.
Circuit times are: January & February 0900-1200, 1300-1600
March to October Inc 0900-1230,
1330-1700
Advertising to the public is not permitted.
Photograpy at Goodwood Motor Circuit is prohibited
unless for personal purposes only. You
are permitted to sell photographs that you take, but only on the strict
condition that they are not used for promotional or commercial purposes. You have the consent of Goodwood
beforehand. Photographers in attendance
must sign an indemnity.
All participants must complete and sign a Goodwood Motor Circuit Track Driving Rules, Declaration
& Agreement which will be supplied in advance and on the day. For insurance purposes, the originals shall
be provided to Goodwood prior to the end of the
event.
The fee for this event is as detailed on the official
entry form, per vehicle. Circuit Driver Subscribers may be eligible to
a discount as detailed on the entry form.
The maximum entry is
limited to just 20 vehicles on a ‘Goodwood Day’ or 30
vehicles on a ‘Road Traffic Day’ to ensure plenty of track time. Bookings must be made in advance in writing,
using the official entry form or a written invitation and accompanied with your
remittance. If you have not yet sent
your payment, to ensure you receive an entry, please return your booking form
and remittance as soon as possible to: -

Bookings are received on a first paid, first served basis. If the entry is full on receipt of your
payment, you will be notified as soon as possible and offered a reserve
place. If you cancel your booking no
less than one calendar month prior to the event, you will only incur an
administration fee of £25.00. However,
if you cancel within one calendar month of the event, you will incur the full
booking fee, unless your place can be transferred to a reserve or sold onto
another participant (by the organisers), in which case you will only incur the
administration fee.

risk! You must read, accept and sign the
indemnity to this effect before being allowed to use the Circuit.
